consumer security is very simple: you have to protect one computer or a few computers. simple solutions such as anti-virus and simple firewalls would do. in case of security bridge the damage can not be much.

in case of the enterprise security you have a lot of machines that are connected together in a very messy way. you have different access levels, special connection restrictions as well as how to balance the traffic around the network. Since hackers are more interested in biz computer since they contain more valuable data on them, a security specialist should be able to minimize the possibility of the bridge at all costs since slightest bridge of security can cause major damage to the entire biz.
