what is the value of x?

do you think this is too hard to be learning this in 7th grade? cuz im in 7th grade accelerated math but this seems hard what do you guys think?
we are learning about nonlinear functions and what not.

anything raised to da 0 power is 1 right?

Any nonzero number raised to zero is equal to 1.
The answer to your mathematical eauqion: 1/2 - 1 = x is -1/2
To solve this, you get the least common denominator (LCD)which is 2.

no its not. im in the 7th grade and im in Algebra 1. i'd do anything to have this kind of math. its -1/2 but just be thankful its not a hard as mine. haha
