But honestly, that's entirely too much to pack. After packing all of that crap, youll need a uhaul to get home. Remember the hospital provides you baby wit blanket diapers wipes and formula. Plus pads for you that wont leak, (who cares if theyre bulky your in the hospital. And you just had a baby.) You cant eat during labor, and afterwards they basically bring you whatever you want. BUT you definately need:
Shampoo
Conditioner
Bar of Soap
A REAL towel
Comfy loooooose clothes
Camera
Hair ties, and brush
And a cutsie little outfit for baby to wear when the photographer comes by.
Here's a list I found online...
For the Hospital Room
In the hospital after labor and delivery, you'll need a few things for your hospital room, especially if you have an extended stay.
A sweater or nightgown – After a shower, you might want to wear something of your own rather than a revealing hospital gown. But be warned: Whatever you wear could end up dirty. You can at least bring a sweater to wear over your hospital gown to keep you warm.
Toiletries – While in the hospital, you'll have help with your baby. Take advantage of that help to take care of yourself. A few simple items such as lotion and mouthwash might make you feel more at home. Have a long shower and wash your hair. Brush your teeth and cover yourself in lotion. Put on deodorant to feel fresh. It's amazing how much better you'll feel when you're clean.
A pillow and blanket for Dad – If your partner wants to stay overnight, he'll likely have a recliner or cot to sleep on, but linens are hard to come by. Bring some items to make his limited space a little more cozy.
Something to pass the time – If you like knitting, cross-stitching or playing cards, for example, bring your hobby with you. for the last minute. Or start filling out birth announcements for relatives and friends. The time you spend in the hospital should be as relaxing and restful as you can make it.
More snacks – Hospital food is notorious for causing constipation. Packs of raisins, nuts or whole-wheat crackers will help keep you regular.
Car seat – You can't take your baby home without one, so don't forget it!
Packing won't take you much time, but putting it off until the day you go into labor is a recipe for disaster and disorganization. Compile what you want to bring to the labor room and your hospital room long before you need to worry about it. Tell your partner where to find your bags and which bag is for which room. After you've finished packing, you can go re-fold those baby clothes one more time.

I brought my own night gowns...but only bring ones that you don't mind throwing away later...because you'll probably get blood on them...I brought some..but I jsut ended up using the hospital gowns.
Bring a bath robe.
Bring hair clips to keep the hair out of your face during delivery and also afterwards when you're trying to feed a new baby and you can't get out of bed (C section)
Bring Travel size shampoo and soap and toothbrush and toothpaste and a hair brush (for you and your spouse if he's staying with you)
BRING SNACKS!!! I packed snacks for my husband and for me...hospital food sucks...so after they gave me the go ahead to eat again, I ate my apples and crackers and stuff that I brought.
They will give you recieving blankets and a baby tee shirt and they will provide diapers for the baby. You'll want to bring an outfit for him/her to wear home. Don't forget to bring a beanie too ...My baby was born in october so I brought a couple of things for him to wear (not just a onsie) but since it's summer you might be ok with just that..just make sure you bring a blanket with you because they won't let you take the ones from the hospital.
You really should sleep whenever you can...but you may want to bring some magazines or books for you or your spouse...cause tv can get real boring when you've been staring at it for 48 hours.
Bring a camera.
Bring a cell phone.
Bring change for the vending machines.
Bring a nursing bra if you plan to breastfeed.
I think that's about it...

After four kids, my advice to you is PACK LIGHT. You would be surprised what you're going to come home with: free diaper bags, samples of just about anything you can imagine, wipes-diapers-ointments-bulb syringe from baby's basinette, and all the unused sanitary pads, etc. provided by the hospital. For yourself, pack a couple of pajamas, socks, and granny pantie underwear (believe me, for postpartum days they work best). Don't forget an outfit to wear home, although if you wear pajama pants they're comfy to come home in too and definitely remember a couple really good bras. I packed my usual toiletries: my fave shampoo and conditioner in travel-size, lotions, razor, etc. For baby, all you'll really need is an outfit to come home in, a light receiving blanket and socks or booties. I always cut my baby's nails that first of second day in the hospital, that way if I did nick their little finger the nurse was there to pat my back and remind me that I didn't break them and they'd be fine. The nurses won't cut baby's nails. If you're not quite brave enough to do it, bring the little mittens, but eventually you're going to have to toughen up and do it so might as well get it over with. My last bit of advice is to bring the pacifier that you intend to use at home (if you plan on using one). If you have a boy and circumcise him, they will give him a pacifier during the procedure and he'll bond to that nipple. It'll be hard to change him over to your brand. (FYI: Hospital pacifiers are these big, ugly bottle nipple-looking things.) Both of my boys were pacifier babies but neither of my girls were. As much as you want to be in control of that decision, you're baby will definitely let you know what THEY want.

Really all the baby will need is a few outfits, the hospitals have bottles (if you bottle fed) and diapers and other baby care needs, maybe bring him an extra blanket. For yourself bring your toiletries, and your most comfortable clothes, they will have big underware for you to wear and pads, but you will want to feel as comfortable as possible. If you read bring a book, cause much like any other hospital stay it can get boring. Good luck and no need to over pack a lot is provided for you.

Slippers for yourself, and some DVDs to watch cos the they have DVD players in your room, and any food you like that won't spoil, and some magazines, you won't be able to sleep much, be prepared for that, the nurses will be in there every hour to check on you and baby. They will give you all the diapers you need for while you are there, and a little shirt, and a little southpark-ish hat with the puff ball on top. They will give you blankies, but bring the baby's receiving blanket and make sure your husband brings the car seat to put the baby in for the ride home.

You need weather appropriate clothes for the baby, and whatever stuff you need to make you comfortable. Most hospitals allow DVDs and Cd's. The hospital will provide you with diapers and wipes,as well as clothes if you want him to wear them. They also give you all that stuff to take home. It's common for them to also have baby lotion, a brush or comb and they give at least one diaper bag with samples and coupons and formula if you need it. Pack lightly for him. The hospital will hook you up.
