6 + 2 1/2 = 8 1/2

6 4/16 - 13/16 = 5 20/16 - 13/16 = 5 7/16

15/15 = 1 (anything over itself equals 1) so 5 15/15 = 6. I assume you can add 6 and 2 1/2.

for the second question, you need to convert 1/4 into 16ths. Multiply the top and bottom by 4 and you have, 1/4 = 4/16. So the question becomes, 6 4/16 - 13/16. Since 1 = 16/16, you can convert this to 5 + 16/16 + 4/16 - 13/16 which again you should be able to figure out.
