Stalin was an even greater mass murderer than Hitler was, and I can think of nothing positive that occurred under his regime.

Mussolini "made the trains run on time," and used history to instill a sense of national pride in the Italians by reminding them of the greatness of the Roman Empire.

Hitler might well have gone down as the greatest German chancellor since Bismarck if he had only died before implementing his genocidal policies. He rallied the demoralized Germans and, like Mussolini, brought the nation to a sense of national pride. He also instituted some social programs that were rather far sighted, such as "Strength Through Joy," which made affordable vacations available to the common workers. This program even provided employers with what we might today call "temps" while their regular person was vacationing.

Too bad he had that obsession with "racial purity" and the idea that the mentally and/or physically disabled were "undesirables," (along with just about anyone who disagreed with him!) and should be exterminated.

Stalin industrialized (not completely) Russia with his Five Year Plans but he did this at the expense of the Russian people.

Hitler started programs for unemployed people and had them build public things like the autoban, so really he took unemployment down and improved the economy.

Mussolini instilled nationalism into Italy. (I don't know much about Mussolini)

All of them industrialised their countries and made them powerful. They generated a great sense of unity and national purpose. Hitler and, to a lesser extent, Mussolini threw it all away by losing the war, while Stalin ruined it by leaving a legacy of totalitariansim and oppression that Russia never threw off.
