Is the whole DETOX thing just a scam? Or is it for real? Can people really loose weight quickly by going through DETOX?

The human body is in a constant state of "detoxing." If it wasn't, you'd be dead.

Using detoxification techniques for weight loss has been used in certain medical facilities for decades. It is a slow process but understand that the fat cells in your liver and around your middle can store toxins that your body is unable to metabolize. The fat cells swell in an effort to protect you from those toxins. As the body detoxifies and those toxins are purged, the fat cells will no longer swell and the result is weight loss.

Also understand that the fat cells don't just "vanish." They are a necessary part of your physiology. They give up some of their stored energy and water which leads to a reduction in size.

Good answers here.

SHORT answer: SOME detox programs are ineffective and overpromise weight loss results. But many others are great because they gently but effectively prod your body to expel things which are stored and which get in the way of its acting efficiently. SOME toxins cause swelling - so, water weight may be high. SOME toxins are relevant to throwing the system out of whack when it comes to balancing nutrients...

Overall, a gentle cleansing program that helps your body's systems get rid of things can help your health - and may speed up weight loss.

But a cleanse is not a weight loss plan by itself - just a good health tool which can unblock the body where it's stuck, hung up on being inefficient.

Good luck finding what's good for you. Personally, I've enjoyed the Renew Life First Cleanse products.

No it is not a scam. Why should it be when your body has a natural mechanism to detoxify? It is considered a scam by people who do not bother to research more into why others are recommending it.

Detoxifying your body can help you lose weight although the objective per se of a detox diet program is to help you get rid of toxins.

You may lose water retention. and Yes it is a scam to get your money. If you want to detox drink plenty of water and eat only fresh fruits and veggies for a couple of days
