You're asking us if it is your homework?
Couldn't tell you that, but for the lizard, in a warm climate - prefereably one that does not drop to freezing or lower temperatures.
Add in either a very moist climate for some lizards, or very dry ones for other lizards.
Shortly after sunrise, you will find it (assuming it is in your yard), basking in the sunshine. You will find it doing the same periodically through the day, and then scurriing into the shade to regulate it's body temperature.
When hiding, it will be under something like a board, tree root, shallow dug-out, or under disturbed ground, where it can "shimmy" under the surface and watch for danger.
Some lizards also climb very well. So, you can find it on your roof, up a tree, telephone pole, etc.

You would find them around a pond or lake under a rock or anything on the ground. If you don't have a pond or lake then look under any thing the would give them a nice cool place to lie.
