Guys, a question for you...?

Why is it so hard to not get pee on the seat? I mean the hole in the toliet is big compared to the "other hole" you have to work with.

Do you play games or something in there? Fountain water shows? Squirt gun? - shed some light on me.

I'd just like to applaud the guys for all their awesome answers so far. Normally you guys write short quick answers, but some of these are almost to the point of scientific......who'd have ever thought you'd impress me with a question on pee?

It comes out in different directions and speeds so you need to calculate the wind direction and speed, as well as the velocity of the stream. If you are using calculus (duh, what else) and you miscalculate the differential limitation equation the result is a wet seat.

The simplest way to put it is imagine you have a can of soda and you want to open it upside down into a bowl. that is what it is like for men to pee. You never know if the can is empty or full or whether someone has shaken it up before they hand it to you but when you pull that tab the flow could do all sorts or strange things. I think this is where the idea for the water toy Mr. Whiggles came from. And obiously, you are assuming we can see where we are aiming or that we even care where we are aiming. Some guys could care less or are have asleep. If they cared at all they would raise the seat, but ask yourself; how often do you want to touch something that others have placed their naked bottoms on? Hmmm.

I have no trouble because I lift the seat and hold onto it but from looking at guys in public bathrooms and how they position themselves against the wall like they are being arrested I can see how their hose would go spraying wildly.
most guys just play with themselves when they going peee and most guys just like to play games with it but not me i can never hit the toliet seat at all
It's kinda like a water hose let loose and is sometimes hard to control. Every guy does this, but outta respect every guy aughtta clean it up too...I mean I know when I do, it only lake a second to wipe up!

Well... When we are pissing everything is going great and we (at least myself) do not have any problems. The problem comes when the power behind the piss runs out and it begins to dribble out of the penis and when you are trying to squeeze out the rest it tends to come out quickly (but not always) making it nearly impossible to time the urine coming out there for dribbling or spraying on the seat. Also sometimes your drunk and you just don't care! Hope that helped.

With so many comments I guess this deserves a comment that will solve the problem for good, why don't men just (sit down) when they have to go, is that so hard, I don't think so, so men try and make the lady's happy and the other men that may have to use it after you. If you can't do that at least wipe up after yourself, not that much to ask for. Looking for a dry seat next time. Thank-you and Good luck

Well, actually most men do not pee on the seat. The pee splashes onto the seat because when the stream hits the water in the toilet it hits with such great velocity that it splashes up and out onto the seat. This is a common misperception that people have that us men are missing the hole and actually peeing on the seat directly.

Sometimes, when we don't retract our foreskin, it sprays. Then the pee adjust the foreskin to make the pee go in a straight line. So most of the time when a youngster starts to pee, the initial direction of the pee is random.
As we grow older, we learn to dr back our foreskin. Then, the ee goes in a predeermined line. Then we discover the joy of drawing with our pee. Since we have so much control, we can make art.

Pour a bottle of water slowly and see how the water splatters. Also it dribbles a little. Not much game playing. Usually pick up the seat so that you can lower it when you need too.

Good Question!! I have an 11 year old son and a bf that seem to be unable to hit the hole. It's sad!!
