Left home when I was 18yrs old, had only the
clothes on my back, not even a car. Was brought
up in a middle class, worked hard, saved, and
later got married. Since I have gotten married I
have paid for 2 homes, bought 7 new cars, have
money in the bank, am retired, and now am
reaping life's benefits of not having to work and
enjoying all with my wife, oh by the way she work-
ed. This just goes to show that you do not have
to be rich to be rich in life., and no-one can buy
happiness as it is not sold anywhere as it comes
from the heart and what better way than two
people enjoying it togeather.

Why does it necessarily have to be one OR the other? Happiness consists of many things - this includes love, money, health, family, friends, you name it. Usually one looks for what suits them best. I married my husband because I love him - and some of the traits I love and admire in him happen to be traits that make him a good provider: he is an industrious, resourceful, hard-working, intelligent person. We are not filthy rich, but we don't have to worry too much about making the next month's mortgage payment, either. Which is how I like it.

Apparently, most divorces in the US are because of money in some way or another. So why not just cut out the middle man, marry for money, then who knows, you might fall in love and live happily ever after.

I know a girl who married for money. The guy wasnt the hottest. She didnt really love him. He basically bought her. Now...6 yrs later, she's attached to the lifestyle he gave her and he's cheating because he has the $ to pull other women and she's left in this big ole house wondering where her husband is. Her Prada bag, Coach shoes and diamond bracelet are little comfort....

Have you ever seen the movie "What a Way to Go" with Shirley MacLaine? I think you should see it...
In my case, I would never marry for money. Then again, I would never marry someone who could never get his act together and grow up. Everyone is different.

I think of it this way: If you are going to marry for money and not love someone you might as well call yourself a prostitute.
