Do I agree with AhmadiNejad's policy? ---NO---
Because I am an American, I can disagree with AhmadiNejad's policy without fear. If I were an Iranian living in Iran, I might be put to death. That may be the fate of the students from Amir Kabir University.

As an American, I can protest against my government without fear. This is because of the rights of the U.S. constitution.

The course Ahmadinejad is charting for his country is destabilizing the region, and could very well lead to a large scale nuclear exchange within the next decade.
He is deliberately destabilizing Iraq by supporting insugents on both sides. The goal of this is to get the US out and to allow his proxies, like Moqtada al'Sadr, to become the dominant force in Iraqi politics, with the eventual goal of Iraq becoming an ally to Iran as well as a Shiite Theocracy.
There is no doubt that he is pursuing nuclear arms technology. He has been offered free lightwater reactors by the West. Russia has offered free uranium, uranium processing, and nuclear waste disposal, with the only caveat being that Iran can't keep the nuclear waste. This would guarantee he couldn't make weapons grade fissionables out of it. Basically, he's turning down free, unlimited nuclear power forever so Iran can spend tons of money it doesn't really have in order to process their own nuclear waste. The only rational reason for doing something so economically foolish is to obtain to weapons grade material.
The upshot of what he is doing is it will bring Turkey into conflict with the Kurds in Northern Iraq, Saudi Arabia into conflict with Shi'ite Iraqis, and Israel is sweating bullets at the thought of a nuclear armed Shiite theocracy that stretches from one end of Iran all the way through Syria. If Israel thinks for one moment that they are in immenent danger of being annihilated, and that the US will not bail them out, they will feel like they have no alternative but to strike first. Hard. With everything they have in order to guarantee that there will not be a second Jewish holocaust.
What do I think of Ahmadinejad's policies? They're pushing us inexorably towards destabilization of the entire Middle East and open nuclear conflict. During the Cold War, we always assumed at some level that the USSR was governed by rational actors, who would in the end default on the side of self preservattion and stepping back from the brink. With Ahmadinejad and the apocalyptic flavor of twelver Islam he believes in no one is sure if that rational level of self preservation is there, which makes him, to my mind, far more dangerous than the USSR, China, or North Korea.

Ahmadinejad is a terrorist who wants to kill all Americans. Somehow I can't agree with that. I am addicted to life here in southern Tennessee.

I don't agree with terrorism.
But Democrats think that Ahmadinejad is kinda cute.
They also think that Kim Jong is a cutie.
And Castro.
