I have an UTI right now and it's my 4th in 3 years. I just had one last month and the dr. thinks the last one didn't clear up properly with the antibiotics. He put me on cipro again, but with 500mg dose for 7 days instead. I'm just curious if anyone know how long it takes for the infection to show symptoms, because i'm trying to figure out whether i'm getting it after i have sex or whether it's something else.

I used to get UTI's about 3-5 a year, and I could always connect them to sex because I would feel the burn within 24 hours. I finally learned the #1 prevention...to go pee immediately after sex, and now I hardly ever get one.

Unfortunately, I have one right now ( it's been over a year) because I had sex Tuesday morning, and I fell back to sleep! I told my boyfriend to make me get up and go no matter what from now on.

As the previous poster said sometimes you can have a urinary tract infection and not even notice any symptoms. Because of how frequently you are having the urinary tract infections it sounds like you may be dealing with a condition called Interstitial Cystitis. One of the symptoms of this condition is having symptoms of a UTI as well as having a UTI but not having it clear up.

You should definitely consult a urologist about this issue. To learn more about Interstitial Cystitis please check out: http://www.ic-network.com

i've got have been given a container of AZO urinary analgesic; same element in what you're making use of. The guidelines say to end taking them 24-40 8 hours earlier taking a try. the quantity of time it takes to fully circulate away your device varies between persons. Drink extra advantageous water for the subsequent 24 hours and attempt the try.
