It's about ignorant people who want to blindly accuse someone of being a traitor, when there's nothing more traitorous than sending young men off to war to die with no plan for victory. Young men are not pawns to be played with. If the govenrment didn't have the plan to win, then what in god's name were people being sent to die for?

It was a long time ago. Americans need to give her a break. They have bigger fish to fry like cleaning up the hospital that we put our wounded soldiers in. People should call Bush a traitor for letting our wounded soldiers live in absolute filth in Walter Reed, but I don't hear much about that one. How about "Taliban Bush" for a nickname.

This was a very big deal at the time. It's one thing to be against a war, and another entirely to side with the 'enemy'--which is what she used her celebrity status for. Similar to Tokyo Rose and Axis Sally in the second world war. If it were limited to photo-ops of her sitting on an anti-aircraft gun wearing a helmet accompanied by her North Vietnamese hosts, she could be said to be entitled. But I understand that she was given the opportunity to meet with American prisoners of war, and she was slipped a message to take back home. Which she handed over to her hosts, resulting in abusive punishment to the Americans. Those who complain about American treatment of enemy combatants should research the behavior of other countries.

It was the nickname given to Jane Fonda after she went to Vietnam and sat on a weapon that was used to fire against american soldiers. Many were offended and deemed her a traitor to the US.
