They do tend to be the people I know best, and whose collective sense of humor most resonates with mine...so they do tend to get the preponderance of Best Answers.
However, it's not an intentional thing...and nothing delights me more than an out-of-the-blue fantastic answer from a complete stranger.
...who then usually becomes a Contact, and around we go again... ;)

I definitely give SOME best answers to my contacts, but not if there's a true Best Answer from someone else I don't know. If all the answers are lukewarm, then yah, I might favor a contact.

I have a lot of contacts that give great answers.. So I always enjoy reading theirs.. I pick what I feel is the best answer.

No. The only 2 people I have in my contacts asked to be there. Besides I very rarely ask Qs.

no, you have to earn a best answer from me fair and square. My brother is on here and the man i live with too, and too bad if some stranger waltzes in and gets a best answer from me, they should have given a better answer!

I'm usually fair and give the b /a to the one that makes me laugh or the most thought provoking , but I have leaned towards the regular.

Nope. If somebody gives a great answer, that's who I give it to. Then again, I don't ask alot of questions either.
