3 Reasons teenagers should have a curfew: 1. It's dangerous in the streets after a certain time. 2. Your parents know whats best for your well being. 3. You can't do what you want because you you aren't monetarily responsible therefore incapable of being socially responsible from a parent's stand point. (I'm not a parent by the way) Three reasons a teenager SHOULDN'T have a curfew: 1. You will probably have a learning experience or two while adventuring. 2. You would eventually see that the curfew meant nothing and start coming in on time on your own. 3. Because mom and dad are pricks and just want to control you. You feel you know enough to know right from wrong when dealing with people and situations. All in all, curfews can add a sense of responsibility and time management into an adolescent's life. Although some parents take it too far and ultimately make their child rebel, its a good idea to talk to and compromise with each other on days they can stay an extra hour if they do something better than usual, etc.

No. If they are young as your question indicates, then you should know where they are at all times. If that's at a friends house, then you should know the parents. At a young age, you can't think they'll be watching a clock.

When a child is independant enough to be on their own in a limited capacity, then yes they should have a curfew. A parents job is to provide guidance. Without boundaries, kids can't know you care and may find other outlets.

By curfew, do you mean a time that a child has to be home by? Because if that is what you mean I think that children do need curfews.
I didn't have one. It was nice to be able to come and go as I pleased, but now when I look back, I would have appreciated some parenting.
If you mean a specific bedtime. I think it should be a choice between the child and parent(s).

I don't think there should be a set curfew. I think it should depend on what the kid is doing. This way, you're forced to have conversations with your kids every day before they leave so that you can give them their curfew for that night.

Yes young children should have curfews, cause if i didnt have one when i was young i would be really tired in class and would fall sleep while everyone else was having fun.

I think there should at least be a reasonable curfew for kids but I don't think it should be early because it should be the kids responsibility to be able to wake up the next morning for school and not complain about how tired he/she is! I believe the it should be the kids choice on there curfew...

Yes, for the simple fact that then as they can older, the curfews can be later and later, rewarding the child for good behaviour as well as declaring that they are becoming older than need to take responsibility for themselves.

Of course!!!! Why not? Would you let your kids go everywhere all over hell's half acre any time of night or day? Not me!! My kids live in a strict house. I can't stand the parents that sit back and let kids do what they want. Those kids will end up like Paris Hilton.

Im a teenager and I think that we should have cufews until we are a little older because there are kidnappers, freaks, and child malesters everywhere. Most kids hate their parents if they have to have a curfew, but parents know what they are doing (most of them anyways...lol). But I think that as kids get older then there curfews should extend. idk? lol. Well I hope that I helped. Good Luck!!!
