Jan 15, 2007 - Paris Hilton pleads "no contest" to DUI. License suspended.
Feb 27, 2007 - Paris gets caught speeding with headlights off at 11 pm. Old documentation of Jan 2007 in car. Hilton stated publicly she was not aware of what her license suspension notice said, or of her plea agreement from January. She said, "I have people who do that for me".
Hilton misses two probation check-ins and is also 20 minutes late for court on 5 May 2007. Judge Michael Sauer is quoted in the following:
"This is a case of what the defendant knew and when did she know it. ... What did the defendant know about her license?” Sauer asked before he brought the hammer down.
Noting the form she signed when she was pulled over in January, he said: “That exhibit is the smoking gun in this case. She carried this in her car for two months. ... In my opinion there is no doubt she knew her license was suspended.”
The judge blasted her publicist. “Mintz threw himself on his sword. ... His testimony was worthless,” the judge fumed. “I’m not sure she was mistakenly advised. She wanted to disregard everything that was said and continue to drive."
“She’s driving around with that in her car. I think she completely ignored that piece of paper. ... The defendant is to serve 45 days in jail.” She gets no special priviledges.
If she doesn’t report to the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, N.Y., by June 5, the judge ordered her sentence doubled to 90 days.

paris will be going to jail for a dui and not following her probations. if she does it will be for 48 days. and if she doesnt i think that thats not fair considerin just bcuz she is rich doesnt mean she dont have to follow the law ya know. she should be sentenced!

she hasn't gone to jail yet. She got a DUI which caused her license to get suspended. Her current arrest was for then driving while her license was suspended, a violation of parole.

but she'll be secluded from the general population while she's incarcerated.

a couple of months ago she was caught drink driving after several warnings so she was told she could no longer drive her bentley. she did drive it and was caught so she now has to deal with the consequence and spend 45 days in prison... xx
