It's like you have a V8 engine w/ only 4 cylinders firing. Yes, you've got a decent card there that is being severely bottlenecked by that 4xAGP slot. If you want to enjoy gaming better upgrade to a motherboard with 8XAGP. You will be amazed by the improvement.

Yes, an 8x will fit into a 4x slot. It's exactly the same.

Using a 4x slot on latest games like need for speed is not going to let them be very smooth, they will jerk a little because it is not a "very fast computer" in respect to PC gaming - the motherboard isn't up to it.

To correct this turn down some graphics options in game - in particular the resolution. Also, make sure you have the latest drivers from NVidia - check their website. Finally, the CPU will heavily limit the graphics card, as it is fairly slow in the realms of modern gaming - less than half the speed of the core 2 duos

you cant put a 8X card in a 4X slot, it will not fit
so that is not the problem, becouse if it would, your PC wouldnt be running now
maybe you should consider upgrading your ram, or getting a better graphics card(GPU)
if you dont want too spend money
you should try too reformat your PC
