But the thing i disagree with is that he bought into the lie that he can establish a democracy government to a country that's not even his. Agree with me?

A stable Iraq would have to mean that it has to be a democracy.

What you don't understand is that we got into the middle of their war and because now that we are there they are forced to vote for democrative leader's.

Bush is a good person who's heart is in the right place (and I realize that I'll probably have some troll disagree and turn me in for a violation, or get ten thumbs down).
I agree with you. I agree with you because that country has been under dictatorship for so long that it couldn't possibly become a democracy in a short period of time. Imagine a life of no freedom for centuries and then try to envision freedom and what it gives you in a few short years.
All I can say is that his heart was in the right place for our country and for the freedom of the Iraqi's as well. I don't condemn him for that and can only hope that we don't leave behind a bunch of innocent people who have had the courage to side with us.

No. And if you agree with everything a President has done, then you need to get out more no matter which president we are talking about. There are many countries we have shepharded towards democracy-Japan and South korea come to mind. There are many other examples of these freedom based democracies. We have led by example and also force of arms in certain circumstances but the results have been a mixed bag. There will always be forces in every country, including our own, that will resist the forces of liberty because they just dont want folks to have a say-so in their own lives. Been that way for thousands of years and tyranny will always be the handmaiden of despots. Leaving people at the mercy of these barbarians I doubt qualifies us as the compassionate masses we prefer to think of ourselves to be. But it sure is convenient, when things end up being hard to do versus what they look like in print, to run off into the night and leave the moms and pops to fend for themselves. These folks have not had a chance to be free, not from what we have done but what the thugs of a fanatical faction of a major religion have foisted on their own people to discourage liberty. These nitwits, through fear, murder, and intimidation wish to reinstitute a fanatical, totalitarian theocracy to further their goal of regional and eventually world domination. How we can't be against that is beyond me. Freedom and democracy require frequent sacrifices of life and limb to maintain ours and others liberty. The only question is do we have the guts to honor those who have gone before in the defense of those who cannot defend themselves. Alas, the messengers of defeat and despair are riding herd over the peoples representatives. Their victory may spell the defeat of our collective compassion for those less fortunate then ourselves.

Can't agree. For one thing, I can't agree with much that Bush has done. For another, I can't agree with the reason you give for not being able to establish democracy - democracies have been imposed upon conquered people before, and have taken. Japan is an example. Rather, Democracy can't be imposed on Iraq because it's people can't (or won't) accept it. Maybe they're just culturally unable to. Or, maybe they just haven't really been conquered yet...

Bush will probably be their scapegoat for this management. I'm by contrast bailout invoice too. In order for this to have any outcome it should be a minimum of 3 occasions greater. Even higher than that the democrats will have to make a few sort of incentive to take a position available in the market. For instance they will have to do away with the capital earnings tax for like six months to a 12 months. Their possess occasion is even break up on te bailout invoice. This is all elementary economics and so they cannot realise that. I'm a liberal republican myself.

I agree, but the fault here is that he alone thinks he can do it. Establishing a democracy in Iraq will take time and energy from both sides (that is, if we even carry it out).

I support Bush on the war, but I disagree with him on many issues, like stem cell research and the border problem, but we aren't establishing a democracy in Iraq, the people of Iraq are, or didn't you see or hear about the elections! What we did was give them the chance at it, what they do with it is up ot them, cause we will be out of there soon!

I disagree with almost everything he has done, including the democracy pipe dream. Just as when he was Governor of Texas he has made deals with big business the devil would be proud to have made. He allowed big business to pollute Texas in their quest for profits and he is now allowing big business to profit at the expense of most all Americans. The price of gasoline alone is hurting many Americans, and that's only one thing out of many rising costs.

Since you disagree with the biggest thing that Bush has done, I don't know how you can say you agree with everything he has done.
And he didn't "buy into the lie" - he created that lie.
