How many people agree that the 80's was the worst decade of music (besides this one) but the 80's was also the best decade of movies?

I mean, for movies, you've got-- The Breakfast Club, The Goonies, The Lost Boys, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Stand By Me, etc, etc.

And for music... ****, you've got Tiffany.

I COMPLETELY DISAGREE! How can you say the 80's was the worst decade of music? The Cure, The Eurythmics, The Ramones, Pat Benatar...I could go on and on...sure there's alot about the '80's we would love to forget (or pretend it never happened) and there was some REALLY bad music, but I wouldn't count the whole decade out. You like the movies, right? Alot of the soundtracks to those movies were a big part of the movies' success...all the John Hughes movies...how about Nightmare on Elm St.? They all had awesome soundtracks.
How can you not lip sync to "Don't You (Forget About Me)" by Simple Minds, or "Drive" by the Cars, or "Whip It" by Devo?
You've never been in the car and belted out "Holding Back the Years" by Simply Red?
How about the big hair bands? Corny, of course, but they gave us some great songs and ballads...Poison "Look What the Cat Dragged In", or Guns 'n' Roses "Sweet Child o' Mine"....
Like I said I could go on and on about the GREAT '80's music I grew up listening to, but I don't think I'm gonna change your mind.
Do me one favor? Next time "No One is To Blame" by Howard Jones comes on the radio, give it a chance...you might listen to the whole song!

Well, I'm 44 years old and I liked the 70s and the 80s. I don't
like todays music at all. The movies from the 80s were much
better and so was the 70s. Although, I kinda like todays movies too.

While I'll agree about the music, I don't agree about the movies. There are many other decades that had exceptional movies.
