I could see why.
1.They both helped the poor.
2.Both did not care about money and wealth.
3.Both were ridiculed and dispised when they actually helped people.

What poor people has Moore helped?? All I know is that he takes their money at theaters so that he can invest in oil and Haliburton stocks.
Jesus would have had to put on plays defaming Herod and charge an admission. Then he would have had to invest his ill gotten gains in sword and chariot manufacturers while making more plays about how bad swords and chariots are.
Anything can happen. I'm an atheist and I still know enough to see your assertion as ridiculous.

First of all your claim is specious. Maybe you and your like minded friends are making that comparison, but Christians as a group, NOT.
1) How did Michael Moore help the poor?
2) How in the world can you say MM does not care about money or wealth. He ain't making those movies on his own dime and yet he is making some decent money off of them.
3) MM may have been ridiculed but it sure ain't for helping anyone. Now despised I understand. Thats how most people feel about those who lie and manipulate the truth to try to advance their agenda.

Perhaps you need to follow the news more. His films have been edited and he omitted the parts that didn't fit his vision. His truth is at least in some ways fiction, or at least sensationalized. He just wants to sell his ideas to the world, and like most liberals, doesn't mind embellishing here and skewing the truth there to do it. In the end he is no different from Rush or Sharpton, just uses a different medium. But if you must make comparisons, they were both passionate. They both pushed the envelope, but in the end, should Moore's fate be the same, there is a major difference. Christ was innocent.

Using THAT idea, we can compare Michael Moore and a Hummer:
1. They both weigh over a ton;
2. Both consume an excessive amount of gas;
3. Both are butt ugly.
Your comparison is ridiculous:
1. Jesus cured the sick; MM makes people sick.
2. Jesus fed the hungry; MM eats the food that makes people hungry.
3. Jesus rose from the dead; MM is brain dead.
See? Totally UN-Jesus-like.
Oh, and Jesus didn't make vapid insipid propaganda films masqerading as documentaries.

I'm very glad they are comparing Moore to Jesus. We all should be compared to Jesus more often. The biggest difference is that Jesus told the truth. Caring just isn't enough. the road to hell is paved with good intentions. The father of all lies provides the asphalt. Likes like :Steel from the rich to help the poor. (He doesn't call it stealing, he calls it taxing) Killing innocent babies.(he calls that, the right to choose) I could go on forever but I'm pretty sure you wouldn't listen. Yes, and all the environmental lies that man can effect the weather too.

Has Michael Moore healed anyone? Raised the dead? Risen from the dead? Turned water into wine? Fed 5,000 people with three fishes and two loaves of bread? Walked on water? Cast out any demons?
No on every count. Instead, made a crappy propaganda movie out of a serious issue. There was plenty of credible evidence to discredit the President, but instead he chased senators around Washington DC trying to recruit their children. There's nothing more frustrating than watching someone argue your case poorly.

Well, no Christian I know compare MM with JC. I do know alot of Christians who support MM and his views. I am one of them.
And as far as MM having stock in Haliburton, I have yet to see any proof of it. No conservative on these boards that is against MM can prove it. They have never shown it to be true and I've asked them to do it many many times. Still no proof.

I dont see any likeness at all.
If moore didnt care about money and wealth then why is he taking all of those phat checks instead of giving it all away?
And he is ridiculed and despised for misrepresenting the truth. Do you have any idea how many people he used in F/911 that have said he misquoted them, misprepresented their position etc..
And I have never heard of Jesus described as a rotund slob.
