Soil is mostly composed of organic matter, but also many minerals from eroded rocks. Soils is split into horizons where A, is the top soil usually pretty thin and abundant roots and accumulation of humus, Clay, carbonates, and iron leach to deeper horizons. B is split into 2 secotions, fine humus and clay and then clay, iron ixide, and some hums, few rotts, blocky soil. C is also split into 2 divisions, oxidzed mottled soil material, with calcium carbonat, no roots, primatic structure, the other slightly altered oxidized soil material. ***

Soil is the product of decomposed organic material. The darker the soil, the richer it is with vitamins and minerals.
