I do the things your other respondents have suggested, as a matter of course. However, I also know that stuff is still stored on your hard drive, so if you've visited dodgy sites etc these will still be on your computer. Window Washer will clear these from your hard drive, but I haven't tried it because I don't want to completely wash my hard drive - I think you only do this if you are, for example, selling your computer. So I am also looking for something that will get rid of all the sites I've visited out of curiosity but would not want anyone else to know about!

You go to Tools, then Internet Options and it will bring up a box with different options. You want the tab that says General. There are two buttons you want to push - one is Delete Cookies and the other is Delete Files - do both.

First of all click on tools on the task bar at the top of your screen, then click on internet options, then look in temporary internet files and select delete files then click ok.
you can also click on cookies and delete them. If you wish you can look under history and select the number of days that your history remains on your pc.

On Internet Explorer, all you need to do is go to Tools > Internet Options and then Clear Browsing History or something similar to that.

you can delete images but it will always leave a ghost image of everything you`ve ever done, with the right knowledge this can be accessed. If you are UK remember Gary Glitter took his computer in for repair, everything he thought he had deleted was still on his computer and discovered by a shop assistant.
