Monty - Thank you for the lecture. Actually I did read every answer and, like most questioners I pick one of he best ones as my "best answer". Sometimes I would pick more if I could. But please don't tell me how to use my vote! And, perhaps if you answered a question with an answer to the question, you - yes even you - might get my vote.

thecharleslloyd - sorry, forget to say: you're wrong about devolution as well. I think you need to read your facts more carefully.

Eddie j, Words fail me. Thatcher and the Tories run this country and the Nhs into the ground for gods sake. Double figure interest rates, 4 million unemployed, black Wednesday, slave wages. And you reckon she was good for the people of Britain. Privatised anything she could, made her rich mates richer and walked all over the hard up. Muppet,

I remember the three day week and the last Labour Party. I had a great time in the eighties thanks to thatcher. I would have respected new Labour a lot more if they were not filled with the Champagne Socialist of today and lack of the Union Members. The Party was formed for the working class. this last government might as well have been Liberal. Red against Blue Rocks. when it goes yellow we are being run by wimps. Devolution was start by John Major by the Way please read your books slower and take in the facts correctly before asking such questions

Those of us who are old enough to remember should make it a point to let every younger voter know how the Tories treat the ordinary working man and woman when they are in power.
Labour definitely isn't great at the moment, but moving back to the Tories would be disastrous. The caring Tory party is a contradiction in terms.

Abolition - passed under a whig parliament, opposed by many tories
Acknowledgement of the US as an independent country - passed under a whig parliament after the previous tory parliament started the war
Reform act (abolition of child workers) - passed under a whig parliament.
Home rule for Ireland - passed under 2 liberal parliaments, revoked under the intervening tory parliament
I could go on.

I am going to tell you what Labour has inflicted on us instead. We have a CCTV camera for every 14 citizens. I mean that is a great achievement isn't it. ? Even George Orwell never envisaged that .
Oh yes civil partnerships and Repeal of section 28. I tell you what , I keep my back to the wall these days.Any day now I expect homosexuality to be made compulsory !

As usual your bang on the Tories have brought nothing but misery to millions of people over many years, how many lost their homes and livelihoods so the fat cat tories could line their pockets, they sold off every asset this country had, the average person in the street means nothing to a Tory just someone to screw out off their hard earned money, you would have to be a crazy person to risk having any more of that, the fact none of us evan know what direction he would take this country in would concern me a great deal, what is this guy Green, Blue, Red or just plain Grey...,,,

I am not going to answer this question, I am just enjoying reading the answers. .Just read some of your other questions, like the one about the NHS where you gave Ace Gunner the best answer, why? You only seem to give best answers to people who only give positives, What about the negatives as well, you don't seem to listen to people with a different point of view. They were all good answers, but what about Braden O, Lobster, george K, Allan M, Frank S, Oppa, Johnny HA, Andyst_8. Half of the answers on that question, just did not agree with you, in fact more than half, but as usual, you did not listen to any other persons point of view and gave the best answer to Ace Gunner or Mick the Gunner as you normally do. Not everyone agrees with you that the NHS is in great shape, however eveyone will agree with you that it has had fantastic investment. Alot of people like me think it has been wasted. Read the answers more carefully. Alot of people don't agree with you - but you chose to ignore them or slag them off. In fact 15 out of the 22 who answered disagreed with you to some extent. Make sure you listen to them next time before you blindly pick one of your own as a best answer.

Much as I'm furious with Blair for his craven support of Bush, and the effects on global stability that may last decades, no right thinking person could want the Tories back.

Labour Forever! Right? WRONG!!!
One party states don't work very well. Don't believe it, Binky? Try GB in the '70s - it was a joke well on its way to going out of business until an adult named Maggie showed up and whipped the kiddies back into shape.
And they've remained whipped into shape ever since. Now, I ask you, Binky, what Labour government could have done that? Right! So, there, put that in your pipe and smoke it (but not around me, please).
