Depends what the fabric has been treated with.
It is common to dye several different colours when doing Batik or Tie-Dye.
But after the whole range of colours sometimes the fabric is treated with a chemical to keep the colours, then it will be hard to dye it again.

So if you know what your fabric is treated with, please add to your question, so we can help you further.

Usually, yes.

It's relatively common for quilters to purchase white fabric printed with black and then over-dye it for the combination desired. It's also common to over-dye gingham check fabric, at least it was before permanent-press finishes.

As the previous poster cited, it depends on how the fabric is "treated".

If the fabric has been treated, the general answer would be no. Like everyone else, I'd have to know what it has been treated with.

For the most part YES. If you go to the laundry section in walmart you will see Ritz die, with that is also a color eliminator you soak the fabric in that to help get the color out then you may use a die of your choice. Remember when you are trying to die colored fabrics you should die them a darker color then they were previously.
