Yes she was very rude, I don;t know if it would do any good to contact the main office because they certainly have a lot of employees. I don't even know if it would do any good to contact her immediate manager. But the next time you are treated rudely in any dining facility. leave 3 pennies face down on the table. Doing this is better than not leaving a tip, as not leaving a tip may be thought of as you may have forgot. But the 3 pennies face down will get the wait persons attention.

Don't live in your area so don't know Denny's but I am thinking it is not supposed to be a Spanish restarant? Whatever, I would write a letter and see what their response is. It sounds like maybe they had to hire some emergency help who doesn't speak English. Or she took a dislike to your party and was making some kinda statement that only she knows about... Write, or they may not even know of this problem.:)

Yes, I think you were treated rudely. I am wondering if she was doing some "racial profiling?" When I lived in southern California I had a friend who was indian and often people would speak to her in spanish, thinking she was a latina. It is still rude, but perhaps not intentionally so. If you think something like this was going on in your case, you should mention that in the letter. I also don't think you should regret tipping, unless you were exceptionally generous, because her rudeness may not have been intentional.

At first I would say no. It's human instant to speak to someone in the language that they speak. However I would first speak to you in English because well it's an English establishment. If the area you live in is mostly of Hispanic decent then it may not be rude. Their are some area's in CA that are like that with one race, if you see a sign in English your lucky. Her telling you to speak to her in English after the ketchup. Yeah that was just plan rude. witting a letter to Corp. is a little extreme but one to the manager wouldn't hurt.

Absolutely. If I were you, I would have gotten a manager or superviser right then and there. You should definitely write a complaint, it's not your job to understand her. She's the waitress, and that means she's there to serve you. And if she can't speak English, I don't know why they're letting her work there. Anyways, good luck!

Maybe call speak to the manager about the waitress. you might even get a discount or something if you complain in a calm manner.
And don't tip for bad service.
if she's being paid less and needs the tips then get a better job.

first of all was the woman hispanic?
but yes...it was quite rude of her to address you and your party entirely in spanish even though she perfectly understood english. my opinion u should def. write a letter to Denny's and explain what happened while you were there.

The rudest difficulty, a protracted time in the past, i became using the bus while there have been some human beings interior the back of the bus throwing bottle caps up in the direction of the front which hit my pal...once I asked the folk to end, the have been given off on the subsequent end, yet sucker punched me earlier getting off the bus!!! that trumps my record!
