No I don't plan on signing any petition for Paris Hilton. She thought she could get away with it, and thought since her daddy is rich, she is above the law--no matter what her current statement is, it's all bullsh*t. She's scared and she's saying whatever she thinks we all want to hear. She deserves the same treatment as any person in her situation; if that includes jailtime, so be it. Some people believe the judge sentenced her to make an example for other people--bullsh*t. It's because she's a celebrity that people are making such a big deal out of it. If she were LaFawnduh from Inglewood or Magdalena from Hawthorne, they would get the same exact sentence. It'll be a good humbling experience for her, but just watch, she'll be going to a minimum security prison just like Martha Stewart because we have to protect our (pseudo-)celebrities.

I wouldn't sign any petition to keep Paris Hilton Of of a gutter, she no better than anyone else. The very idea of going to the Governor for a pardon the stupidest thing I ever heard of anyone with any brains trying to do. She is no better than anyone else , I think she need's more time in jail for her terrible attitude and she is so silly. I have never thought she was pretty the sway back when she stands is so out of proportion, I wish she would get a year in a regular women's prison.

No!
Just like the regular Joe if she violated her probation she should go to jail. I think she was actually given a break. Violation of probation is a felony offense, on top of her DUI, snd driving w/ a suspended license she should have gotten way more than what she got.
Everybody isn't given a second chance when violating their probation, it depends on the judge if you are given another chance. I had a friend who violated his probation eight times and was given another chance and another friend who violated once and was sentenced to carry out the rest of his probation in jail which was 3 years straight.
If Paris didn't break the law she wouldn't be in the situation she's in now. Just because she comes from a wealthy family doesn't mean she should get a break! Don't do the crime if you can't pay the time!"

F Paris Hilton!!!! If Lil Kim had to go to jail - she gotta go.
She is not above the law. Maybe some jail time would give her a big wake up call - but then again we are talking about Paris Hilton - she is so freaking shallow

Out of jail? Why when she broke the law by driving drunk? Enough said. I will sign the one to send her to jail.

So far on the site No Clemency I just signed: 17,780 in favor of her going to jail.

Everone: star this question and get everyone to sign Redd's petition "No Clemency!!!"

No way. She broke the regulation. If any common individual became into confronted with the comparable project, that they had would desire to stand the music and do the time. She has in no way presented me with ANY style of entertainment, and mutually as she would be enormously, in a ideas-broken style of way, the little bit i've got seen of her character excludes her possessing something close to to genuine attractiveness. Paris Hilton has in no way had to be responsible for something in her finished existence. She has crashed with regard to the Earth appearing like a spoiled newborn, in no way dealing with the implications of her movements. She treats common working human beings like airborne dirt and airborne dirt and dust. the very comparable people who make her privileged little international artwork. human beings like her make stronger the undesirable image something of the international holds approximately human beings. If she does the time, then, afterwards, she would be in a position to flow returned to residing her wealthy, unfavourable, trivial existence. If Arnold pardons her, he's merely proving that he's an elitest boob, like many human beings have self assurance him to be. there is one set of justice for common human beings, and yet another for wealthy celebrities. The worst element she has to stand is 40 5 days of boredom. She is actual not in with the ordinary inhabitants, she is going to be in a "particular remoted ward" for "prisoners of notice". After she gets out, she would be in a position to resume her existence the place she left off together with her money and repute. How does this evaluate to what a popular individual might would desire to stand? maximum folk may be fired from their jobs the on the spot they have been convicted. maximum human beings don't have the greenbacks to pay an lawyer to charm the conviction. Now you're doing 40 5 days, and you're unemployed and undesirable once you get out and you have a checklist. Hilton would not would desire to rigidity approximately having a checklist, yet something human beings do. we would desire to by some ability locate jobs after being fired and doing the time. take care of anybody the comparable. while you're prosecuted, you visit reformatory. She could cease whining like the spoiled little newborn she is and greenback up and do the time. some human beings would admire her, in the top, and he or she would be in a position to continuously write a e book with regard to the adventure or do a television prepare and make the main of the whle element.

No. I would sign the one to make sure she has to serve her sentence. Why should she get away with repeatedly breaking the law? She basically gave the court the finger by refusing to follow her probation conditions or go to the alcohol education classes that she was ordered to. The judge didn't buy her dumb act. Anyone over 7 knows that when you get you license suspended you're not allowed to drive.

There's no way I'd contribute to anyone's self destructive behaviour. She can afford to hire a driver if she is going to consume alcohol. She could wind up killing herself or others while driving in that state. There is a reason why it is illegal.

I vote, no way. They could fine her millions, it may as well be pennies to her, but this jail time might just get the message through, to Paris herself and to her young fans who would like to emulate her.

NO!!!! She is only famous because of her last name. She deserves jail time if she's done the crime. All celebreties should have to face that reality - WE DO - Why should she be any different?

Where is that petition to sign to keep her in jail? Quite frankly I hope they further humiliate with a body cavity search when she gets there!

2007-05-10 10:17:24 · answer #10 · answered by Shari 2 · 3 0

No, Because I feel anyone who can afford a lawyer should get one. It is the lawyer's job to get her out, God knows she can afford a lawyer to get out if she is eligible.

A petition may cause her more harm than good. Most people would probably vote against her just because she is rich. That is why A petition won't help!
