In a secular State to force any one to convert to another religion is unlawful act, any act to attract people to change their religion for certain monitary, educational, medicinal, etc benefits is also unethical & unjust in nature. If a person wants to convert to another religion on his/her own free will he/she can do so but provoking the person to do so amounts to infringement of his fundamental right to practice his religion as provided by the Constitution of India.

It is ethical because, Christianity is an ethical religion. The followers of Christianity are driven by the appeal of the divine.
It is justified so long as the person who is converting is not coerced into accepting the religion. And talking of the lure of money etc, it depends on the financial necessities of that man. I don't find any problem if that also helps him financially.
The proud Hindu should in fact feel happy that he is getting rid of these people belonging to lower castes, going into other religions. When you can't do justice to them, why do you interfere in their affairs?
Let them go, we proud Hindus will only remain then, and there will then be no fear of our religion being in danger!
And why didn't you mention Islam also. It seems you know how to take care of them already!

Why single out christians. Muslims do in large and alarming numbers in Tamilnadu, kerala. Conversions has been going on for centuries.
However, my view is Conversion is ethical and justified, so long as the conversion is done in the name of god and not to lure the converts for economic upliftment or for social injustice or for any favours. Mother Terassa was a missionary (those who do mass conversions) - do you blame her for the conversions in Calcutta???

In India all the religion have a stay ,but i think why people are going to be Christians. Help poor people , then conversion it ethical , not please stop this .what its problem of Christians to do this type of activities . To exploit the poor people for a religious movement is bad, but conversion by impeachment is good.

Conversion by force is never justified. But making conversions illegal would inhibit a person from the freedom of religion in our Constitution.

A lot more ethical and justified than converting children to suicidal bombings, yes.

The "outrage" over conversions is ludicruous. As long as no one puts a gun to anyone else's head to force a conversion, how does it matter to anyone else ? Be tolerant. Mind you own business and dont interfere in how others want to worship as long as it doesnt harm anyone else. Channelise your concerns into solving real problems such as ensuring infrastructure, drinking water, healthcare, education etc for all. BTW, I am not a Christian.

if it don't force on any one it'll be right and if it'll force on anyone like they're now doing in GUJARAT in the dang district and also in other states of India, it'll be wrong. 'cauze not only the Christians are right in the world. they have to give respect to other religions like Hinduism,Islam,Buddhism.
if you don't believe these facts then check the news papers of last 2 years. you can also check some websites, too. some websites also say above their limit that we convert these numbers of persons this year.they don't care about the feelings of others. then how can they be a christian. so is it fair? tell me.

Persuading someone to join a religion is perfectly ethical as long as it is a voluntary choice. Converting someone by force would be unethical and pointless.
In what context are you asking?

I think the answer is a big NO!The core idea of the religion is that all non-christians will be tortured forever just because they have rejected christ no matter how honest they may be.On the other hand the christians will enjoy serenity forever just because they have accepted christ no matter how many wrongs they have done!
