as far as from a fans perspective, it's a great idea because we get to see more "meaningful" football. they'll take a preseason game out if they do get approval. from the players point, it's not a good idea because it was fine the way it was. it just includes more traveling and all the crap that comes with it. it's just a way for (REAL) football to take over the world too. GO BOLTS!!!!

I personally do not think they should make any changes. The NFL dominates sports, in every aspect in the US.

How many sports do people really anticipate a draft? Not many. People look forward to those 16 games and during that bye week research and see what their teams did that week. How many fans rush to see their teams at training camp.

Football is so exciting and it surely is not on the decline. There are too many injuries as it is. If the sport was suffering at all make a move, but now is just not the time.

Its not a bad idea since they are considering that if they do it, they are going to take away a preseason game. Just means we'll have one more meaningful game and one less meaningless game, which is always a good thing. Plus we can expand the fantasy season by 1 game as well.

Nobody outside the US cares about american football, just ask NFL Europe
Leave it at 16 and take a couple of preseason games off while youre at it.

ONLY if they also reduce the pre-season schedule to 3 games instead of 4

No. Becuase that means that some teams will have 1 more away game than home games. I don't want my team to lose that edge or whatever edge they have left. Go Vikes.

The season is long enough as it is. If they do that it will just be to add $$$ for the owners and that doesn't benefit the fans. That is what the pre-season is about.
