i don't want to copy people's work but in the internet world some people give away ebooks with either resale rights or the ability to give them away for nothing. reports would work too.
i am just trying to offer something to my visitors.

thanks

never mind. everyone is misinterpreting the question.

i am not wanting to steal work. go to ebay and type in resale rights - this says the owner of the ebook is going to give me the right to resell/give away their info without changing any content.

obviously there isn't anything out there, but i thank you for the responses

I am sorry you didn't get the info you needed. I couldn't find anything for you either. Sorry.

When I found my work in an e-book, sold by someone else, I was hurt.

It was not the value of the work, it can be found for free on the web. Nor the fact that the person selling it was making money for it, it only cost a little to buy the e-book.
But the fact that someone had stolen my work, and that from a lot of people like me, and put it together into a book without mentioning our names, our websites or even the fact that is was on the web already.

What maybe hurt most was that she or he sold it for a pittance, (I think it was less than $1 for the book.)

If you want to give your visitors craft information, link to the websites where the crafts are. There they will find the current information, links and often additional information you may not think about adding yourself.

In the case of above book, the thief used 4 pages of a website with more than 150 pages, thereby missing a lot of info, and denying the people that info. (Just one link would have been enough to get them searching.)

When you get one of the 'free' or 're-sale' e-books it might well be stolen off other peoples websites and put together by a person not knowing the craft well enough to get the details right.

So, if you like a craft, send people to the website where you found it.

i doubt there is anything like that for free, however your public library has books that tell and show how to do stained glass.

You want to give away or sell someone else's work? That's a no-no.

If you want to add value to your website, write something yourself and offer it.
