I had my period about two weeks ago about 10 days early. I went through my normal cycle which lasted about 6 days. Then I stopped for about two days and started up again. Now I have a brown discharge coming out. I have no pains, but I have been sick lately.

this is probably old blood which has taken it's time being discharged, so it discolours and also clots and becomes 'stringy' and unpleasant looking. This is perfectly normal after a period, it's just the rest of the menstruation taking its time coming out and this can happen over several days. Use a panty-liner instead of a sanitary pad (you can get this from chemists) to keep your pants clean.
But don't worry, sounds normal and happens to us all. It's just that no-one tells us about it or discusses it.

It might be the last dregs of your period, it's just a little that's been retained, it happens sometimes. I've experienced this and it was usually after using tampons, don't know if's just a coincidence. If you're bothered or it smells unpleasant, see your GP just to rule out a possible infection, especially as you've been feeling sick too. Don't worry probably just nothing at all!

I would get checked it could nowt or something but i would advise you to seek gnaecological help or advise. It might be that it is just the end of your period or could be a slight infection at it early stages. Have you pain? Is there a smell if so i would say it is an infection but only a swab could rule this out... good luck!

It's probably your period. Mine was dark brown when it first started too. If it doesn't turn red soon go to the doctor.

THIS MAY BE SEVERAL THINGS ENDOMETRIAL CELLS, OLD REMAINING BLOOD THAT DIDN'T ALL COME OUT DURING MENSTRUATION, ETC. BEST SEE A GYNECOLOGIST. THE FACT YOU'RE SICK ALSO IS MORE REASON TO SEE A DOCTOR.

You need to see a gynecologist real fast because you might be able to catch an infection in its early stages.
