I was the head of the committee that organized our 20th high school reunion. After everybody was all paid up, we had a nice little stash of cash to pay for free alcohol to the tune of about $2000. I gave it to the bartender for him to use as a tab for the drinks. I also gave him a $200 tip AND everybody that got free drinks also laid down a tip. My wife and I were the bartender's new friend and we didn't pay for a drink the rest of the night. Now THAT was a party.

My hostess was horrible at her job but she was in school and she seemed really smart. I advised her to look into another job and gave her my cousins business card.
My cousin hired her a week later and now (2yr later) she is head realtor at his eastside office.
