If you book far enough in advance, Southwest has internet fares of only $49 each way. I just flew to Vegas from Tucson May 6-10 and it was only $118 (counting the taxes, etc) for the round trip. Of course, we already had a hotel to stay in, but if you don't, listen to what others are saying about travelocity and other sites like that for package deals.

It can't cost more than $70 (one way) between Vegas and Phoenix on either Southwest or American West. Check out their respective web sites.

Most of the deals will be through the hotels... agree to stay for a weekend, and you can get flights for $100.00 at some places.

I always use Hotels.com or Expedia. Good package deals if you dont have a hotel yet and they book with multiple airlines so you get more competitive pricing.
