If you were dying and had cheated on your spouse and they didn't know would you tell them before you died leaving them with that.

If the tables were turned would you want to know if your spouse cheated or let them take it to the grave.

I wouldn't. What if on the odd chance I survive the illness but get choked to death by her?

Information is power. But unwanted information also ruins your life, or what's left of it.

Option 1 you taint your spouses thoughts of you while knowing that they will not have time to decide to forgive or not.

Option 2 letting your spouse think of you with love and found memory

I would tell my wife, she's been pissing me off anyway.

Of course I think my ashes might get flushed down the toilet if I do.

I get the whole wanting to go to meet your maker with a clear conscience, however, that doesn't really apply to a situation when you would hurt someone you love(d). It would do no one any good, your spouse would bury you with that on his/her mind. Then, of course, he/she would feel guilty for being angry with you. And you would go to your grave knowing that you hurt someone for no logical reason. They have the right to say goodbye to you so that they can have closure and get on with their life. If your spouse is angry with you, there is no getting over that as they wouldn't have the opportunity to talk, yell, scream without feeling guilty.

That's not a tough one. Why would you do that to your spouse? They have enough to deal with with the death. There's nothing to be gained by telling them something so horrible. Save it for God.

Well, if you think being honest now, it may help them not grieve you all that long once your gone. By telling the truth now, you'd be allowing them less grief.

By keeping your mouth shut.........no one is being hurt.
