That is not even remotely close to enough information to troubleshoot or suggest a solution. If you provided the actual error message, with the name of the DLL or the error code, it would be much easier to solve.

THERE IS NO SIMPLE ANSWER. but hope this helps

Error Message:

command : can't load DLL: filename , error = path

Explanation:

The TCP/IP utility named at the start of the message had an error loading the specified dynamic link library. The system may be running low on memory resources or the DLL may be corrupted.

User Action:

If the system is running low on memory resources, close all applications that are currently not being used and try again. Verify that the specified DLL exists in the specified directory. If the DLL exist, it may be corrupted. Restore the DLL from the vendors software to the specified directory or remove and reinstall the TCP/IP protocol

If this is happening at start up then you most probably need to reinstall it. If it happens later when you are trying to open an appilcation( music player or game or other ) then it may be that you have to much running at once so try closing down some of the application that you don't need while you run the application.

Othewise reinstall...

Find out what program the .dll belongs to and reinstall it is the best way.

How to do this click START
then click SEARCH
then click ALL FILES AND FOLDERS.
Type in the full name exmaple:(Dsetup.dll) and click search. Once it has found it. Run the pointer of your mouse over the name (dont click) and it should bring up a all the info about that particular file.

Example for Dsetup.dll it says

In Folder: C:\Documents and Settings\(my name inserted here)\My documents\New Folder\(name of folder inserted here)
Description: Direct Driver Preloader
Company: Microsoft
File Version: 4.9.0.904
Date Created: 03/12/2006 12:07
Size: 61.5 KB

From this I know the details and can can see it was Microsoft that made it and can reinstall it. If i need to. By requesting the Direct Driver Preloader version 4.9.0.904 and installing it back into the loction it mentions at the begining of the information given.

If its not a Microsoft file then unistall the Program it came from and reinstall it. That should sort out the problem.

Hope that helps..

I think you've got some malware that slipped past Norton. It does happen. Norton has blocked part of it but there is a (probably registry) entry that is calling for the blocked DLL to run at start-up. You need to run something like Spybot or ad-aware SE Personal to see if there is anything that should be removed. If that doesn't find it then you need to try Hijack This and get some advice from someone with the knowledge you trust. The links below are all safe.

windows xp.

start
run
msconfig
look for startup tab.
find the .dll file THAT IS GIVING YOU THE ERROR> and uncheck it.

save it. if it say restart. do it. and when you come back to windows xp. it said something has change. hit yes. (if there is like a reminder. uncheck that.)

thats around it have fun. ^.^
