Remove the hold-down bolt and retainer clamp that holds down the distributor, remove the cap and mark on the manifold or firewall which way the rotor is pointing.....try to get it marked well for reference, then turn the distributor back and forth while pulling up at the same time....spray a little WD-40 around the base if it's stuck. You'll notice the rotor turns slightly as you pull it out...see how far it turns and which direction so that when you reinstall the distributor, you'll be able to put the rotor in the same position before re-installing...very critical. Don't forget to mark all the wires and where they go with masking tape or bread bag clips....... Good luck, Paul

Turn the two screw a quarter of a turn and pull it right off.
