The hood release doesn't work in my car, but it doesn't exactly need to as of now becuase to open my hood all I have to do is open like I would after I pulled the hood release lever. This makes me a little nervous. Also when I'm on the highway or going very fast the hoob bobs up and down, but it doesn't come off. Is the hood release mechanism easy to fix myself, or should I take it somewhere and get it done? I'm about to be going to school in a town about 20 miles away each day, so that makes me nervous. How much would it cost to have this fixed by someone?

The hood latch is fairly simple to replace...usually 2 or 3 bolts holding it in place....just make sure you bolt the new one in the exact place of the old one if it's adjustable. The cable is a little harder as it snakes through the engine compartment and dash...not impossible to do it yourself. If in doubt, get estimates from some garages or bodyshops in your area......Paul

Loud mufflers are only stressful. it truly is apart from the reality that they actually do no longer help in increasing horsepower heavily, in the event that they do something substantial in any respect. remarkable exhaust information might look sturdy although, and that they are inexpensive! A lil' window tint could no longer harm. Rims make the main important impression on how a motor vehicle seems. a watch-catching paint job might value too lots money. A spoiler could no longer harm the two, yet no longer a wing (all people knows of that the escort won't pass 130mph without important artwork accomplished to it, it's going to look ridiculous).

Try having somebody hold out on it and pull open the hood.
