You do not have to stop having sex at anytime during a pregnancy unless your doctor tells you so. Sex can bring on contractions, and labor so sometimes in the first and second trimester it can be limited.

You can until you start feeling uncomfortable. I did up until the night before i had my son AND my daughter and they are both fine. Its how your body feels and what complications you have or dont.
There are two types of sexual behavior that aren't safe for any pregnant woman:
If you engage in oral sex, your partner should not blow air into your vagina. Blowing air can cause an air embolism (a blockage of a blood vessel by an air bubble), which can be potentially fatal for mother and child.
You should not have sex with a partner whose sexual history is unknown to you or who may have a sexually transmitted disease, such as herpes, genital warts, chlamydia, or HIV. If you become infected, the disease may be transmitted to your baby, with potentially dangerous consequences.
With a normal pregnancy, you can keep doing it right up until your water breaks. Do check with your doctor or midwife first if you've been treated for premature labor or if you're having any problems with your pregnancy, such as a shortened or dilated cervix, leaking amniotic fluid, placenta previa, or bleeding, or if you have a history of miscarriages. There are some instances when you should avoid having sex.
But as long as your pregnancy is normal, you won't hurt the baby by making love, even with your partner on top. The thick mucus plug that seals the cervix helps guard against infection. The amniotic sac and the strong muscles of the uterus also protect your baby. Though your baby may thrash around a bit after orgasm, it's because of your pounding heart, not because he knows what's happening or feels pain.

As long as your doctor says it's OK, you can have sex throughout your whole pregnancy. I also heard that sex can help a woman go into labor if it's that far along.

if you have a healthy preg then there is no restriction on when to stop having sex. sex can actually bring on labor if you are 37+ weeks preg. if you are at high risk for anything esp a pre mature birth then i would ask your dr.
but otherwise there is not a time you have to stop

Unless otherwise instructed by your doctor--don't! It makes for an easier delivery. I had my first child after only 4.5 hours of labor and I attribute it to the amount of walking and time spent enjoying my husband.

37weeks and 3days, I had sex that morning and my water broke 4am the next day, lol. So as long as you are comfortable keep on doing it, until your water breaks, then don't of course (infection risks) and they recommend condoms at 32weeks but I didnt bother, so thats up to you.

You don't have to. My friend's husband could actually feel the baby kicking him late in the pregnancy. That must've been weird!

My midwife encouraged us to have sex a lot in the last few weeks, the baby is very protected in the womb/fetus, as long as you're not doing anything to crazy or adventurous, and YOU'RE comfortable with it, do it as much as you want. I dunno how true it is, but my midwife said that the sperm will help natually initiate labor... I think they baby comes when it wants to though...
