No, for a few reasons...
First, your comment >
"...since women make the babies, it is only logical that they clean up after them as well."
How is your comment logical? The woman didn't make the baby all by herself did she? What is logical is that both people who made the baby clean up after him/her.
Secondly, your comment>
"feeding babies and changing their diapers provides wonderful bonding between the mother and child. Men should not steal this cherished oppurtunity away from them".
You're correct that caring for a baby does provide plenty of opportunities for bonding. Bonding is more then changing diapers and feeding though. Also, a sperm donor is not the same as a father. True fatherhood means loving and caring for your offspring not just making babies and walking away (or slumping in front of the TV with a beer) so as to not "steal this cherished opportunity away" from the mother. Fatherhood means nurturing, raising, and helping your child to succeed in the world. If a man who procreated a baby is not willing to do these things then he should keep his rascal wrapped and not make a baby in the first place.

First of all, the mother does NOT make the baby all by herself...that takes a man too. The child has 2 parents...it is equally important for the father to bond with the children. The child is HIS too...not HERS.
If this were the opinion of every man, I think I'd throw myself under a bus. Thank God my husband has evolved more than you and your puny sexist brain has. He changes diapers, he feeds the kids, he gives them baths, he puts them to bed. If you want to be a FATHER, then that's what the job description is...a SPERM DONOR is what you have described. And I recommend that that's what you become. I pity the poor woman that gets stuck with your sorry a/s/s.

When two people have a baby together the feeding, changing, and overall care of that baby isn't a "woman's job"..it's the PARENTS' job. Your view is so 50 years ago. I imagine you would want your wife to wear pearls while she cooks your dinner every night and cleans your house. My husband loves to look after our little girl. She's 20 months old now but as a baby he was the one who did all of the night feeds. I was recovering from a very traumatic pregnancy and c-section so our baby was bottle fed. And shocker...my husband actually changes diapers!! Because we both give 100% to our daughter we have BOTH bonded with her and love her to bits.

"In addition since women make the babies..."
Last time I checked, it takes two to make a baby. Did you sleep through biology or something?
"feeding babies and changing their diapers provides wonderful bonding between the mother and child"
Well if you were to become a father, wouldn't you want to bond with the child too?
Both the man and the woman are parents of the child, and both of them need to take equal responsibility.

Please tell me you are not a Father...pleeeeeeeaaassse!!!
You sound serious so I'm not going to rip you to shreds, just point out a few glaring misperceptions in your logic.
1. "Women" do not make babies. It takes two EQUAL participants who are signing up for a lifetime of care - physical, emotional, financial, spiritual - all aspects of this beings upbringing.
2. As a father it is equally important for you to bond with your baby - so the opportunities to do so should be shared. One parent cant take ownership of this.
3. Your reference to "a woman's job" leads me to believe that your question is more about gender roles and less about what truly is beneficial to your child.
4. It will be your loss, and your kids, if you choose to hang onto this way of thinking.
My suggestion is to love your baby up every chance and in any way you can - two minutes from now the opportunity to feed, bathe, dress, etc will be gone. Grab it while you can.

Sounds like your making excuses and that your lazy. Men need to bond with there children and also take responsibility for them; that includes changing diapers and feeding them. Mothers need a break to, so men need to do their part as well.

BE CAREFUL IF YOU MAKE A WOMAN CRY, because GOD counts her tears .The woman came out of a man's rib, not from his feet to be walked on, not from his head to be superior, but from his side to be equal. Under the arm to be protected, and next to the heart to be loved. They created the child together, so its not just her place to change them diapers, ot to get up in the middle of the night with the baby.

"women make the babies," correction women and men make babies. Sorry both parents are responsible for taking care of children and when a man refuses he should be charged with neglect.

WHICH CAVE DID YOU CRAWL OUT OFF?
It is the PARENTS' job to look after a child. That means both the mother AND the father.
It takes two to make a baby and it takes two to raise a child. Both parents should have equal responsibilities.

That's absolutely true, sweetheart. A baby must need a tender love of a mother. A baby bonds quickly with its mother, feeding and changing is a mother's job.
