LIFT HER UP. SMILE AT HER WITH A SINCERE SMILE AND SAY YOU LOOK LOVELY TODAY. YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL. YOU ARE SPECIAL TO ME. YOU ARE MY LIFE. I LOVE YOU WITH ALL OF MY HEART...SAY STUFF LIKE THIS AND HOLD HER WHILE YOU DO SAY STUFF LIKE THIS. KISSES HUGS...NICE WARM AFFECTIO. MAKE HER FEEL SPECIAL. HEY...THIS IS A THOUGHTFUL QUESTION THAT YOU ASKED. I COMMEND YOU FOR ASKING SOMETHING SPECIAL AS TO HOW YOU CAN MAKE THE LOVE OF YOUR LIFE FEEL LOVED AND SPECIAL. THAT IS SWEET OF YOU. I WISH THERE WERE MORE MEN IN THIS WORLD THAT WOULD JUST DO THESE SWEET LOVING GESTURES. I WOULD RATHER BE POOR AND STRUGGLING WITH A FEW NESSESITIES AND SHARE MY LIFE WITH A LOVING GENTLE PERSON THAN TO HAVE A FANCY HOME WITH A COLD HEARTED PERSON TO SHARE THAT HOME WITH.OH AND ABOUT DEPRESSION. IF SHE IS CLINICALLY DEPRESSED LIKE I WAS( I LOST MY 8 YR OLD TO CANCER) I WAS DEPRESSED AND GET DEPRESSED STILL. TELL HER NOT TO GET DOWN ON HERDELS IF SHE NEEDS ANTI DEPRESSANTS CUZ THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH A LIL BOOST LIKE ANTI DEPRESSANTS. SOMETIMES THERE IS A NEED FOR THEM BUT ALONG WITH TAKING THOSE JUST BOOST HER UP BY KEEP ON LOVING HER AND CHERISH HER.

depression doesn't happen for "no reason at all"
if your wife is suffering from depression, you can help by taking her to the doctor. depression can be caused for a couple of reasons... the main two being:
something may have happened in her life and it's a temporary depression, or
she could have a chemical imbalance, and may suffer from the illness of depression off and on.
doctors are very familiar with depression, so perhaps hers can be of assistance.
you can also look up DEPRESSION on yahoo's search engine, and you will find a lot of information.
take care... it's nice you're thinking of your wife's happiness... you're a caring guy!

There is a reason. You just have to figure out what it is.
Could it be ppmd? (severe pms with depression).
Tell her you love her, sincere compliments, help around the house, do things together..even everyday things..take a walk. Make her feel special when she is feeling down.
And talk to her! Ask her what is bothering her, and don't take "nothing" for an answer. Maybe she doesn't even know why she is down. but let her know you care, that you notice, and that you want her to feel better.

If she gets too depressed about things, she could always ask the doctor to go on medicine to help regulate her emotions. Nothing wrong with that. My best friend is on it and it just helps. Some people have mood swings because of an inbalance in their system. Tell her how beautiful she is and give her a day a pampering!!! Good Luck

Speak to her, ask her what she's depressed about, and you may have to do some detective work by being an amature clincian.
Do you think she needs medical attention?
Do you think she's just not feeling good about herself or her marriage?
I don't need medical attention, but have had my moments... what helps me is a day at the spa getting massage, hair done, nails done... a little retail therapy and a night of dinner and quality time with my husband.

Wow....not much info to go on here. There is always some reason for depression. If it's bad enough for you to think she needs some help, then she needs to see a therapist. You can't fix something if you have no idea the cause.

try to go to counseling with her. its probably a problem within herself and she just doesnt know how to work out the problem and therefor its upsetting for her - hence why she gets depressed.
Just be there for her as a supportive husband.
Good luck

We women can be alot more emotional about ourselves, and alot more prone to low-self esteem. Take her on a "date", or write her a little love note. Don't ever forget to tell her how beautiful she is, hold her hand, and remind her why you married her. All the little things that count! Best of luck to you.

Be honest with her. Let her know you have best interest at heart. She probably has some issues that have nothing to do with you. Just be patient. Ihope this helps.
