I currently ride a Honda Reflex. My daily commute is a round trip of 80 miles, and the Reflex does just fine.

The bike is easy to ride and to work on when maintenance is due. Parts are easy to get since Honda has a great supply chain set up for owners of there products. Now if there ever arises a problem that I can't deal with, there are plenty of Honda dealerships with mechanics to help me out.

My vote goes to Honda.

Depends on how you define best - the Italians have the most style, that's for sure, so if you want something that's got that classic scooter feel, a real steel body, and a leather seat, you can't beat a Vespa. Vespa is to scooters what Harley is to motorcycles.

The Honda, Yamaha, and Suzuki choices would be what I'd go with if I wanted the most durability for the money, however. I'd consider a Kymco, but definitely not anything from Communist China.

STAY AWAY FROM HONDA, SUZUKI AND CHINESE CRAPPY SCOOTERS.

Now i have you attention, i would say that the best scooters to buy are ones with piaggio engine, so if you want a maxi scooter piaggio have x8's and x9s or if you want a standard scooter piaggio/gilera have a gilera runner 125 which is an excellent scooter and very reliable if you have the 4 stoke one however the 2 stroke is just as good.

Look on piaggio and gileras website to see what range they have of twist and go's and go to a dealership and try one out, they are great runners and great for spares.

Piaggio / Vespa. They perfected it, built it with airplane parts, and stand the test of time. Local around here rides a 1955 fenderlight . Last time I saw everything from japan from 1985 back was in a big heap in a junkyard

I would stick with Honda. Piaggio/Gilera also nice but last few years they are having clucth problems (centrifugal that is) way too often. The 250 GT is a beauty though.

Honda, Suzuki, Yamaha. If Kawasaki made scooters, you could include them.
Stay away from Taiwan, Korean, Chinese and
any other, "not made in Japan" crap
