Here is some Ibuprofen...no, go ahead and take 400 mg. You can alternate it with the Tylenol, but you know the Ibu is going to do you the most good.

Just promise me if your cervical lymph nodes are swollen tommorrow, or if people can "hear" your sore throat when you speak, that you will go get it swabbed tommorrow. I mean it.
Yes, know, I know, you hate to go to the doctor---I'm a nurse too, don't forget, and I know we make the worst patients, but it's important to take care of certain things on the front end, and a fever in an adult is nothing to ignore. How high have you gotten?

Oh dear. Well if you can't easily keep it under 100.4 with the Ibuprofen I would go right in. Does it just look red when you examine it? Well. OK. But if you start seeing some whitish colonies forming, you are in trouble and you'll know it's strep even without a culture.

Here is some Vick's. I would rub it in, but I've got to run, and am certain you'll find some volunteers for that!
I left the potato soup on the stove, and a little bit of Lemon Lift.

{hug} Feel better soon!

I've prepared you a warm salt water gargle to sooth your throat, some home made chicken noodle soup, and a hot cup of tea. Now here's the vicks, a big hug and wrap up tightly in your covers and take a nice nap. Feel better real soon.

I'm also sick with a fever and sore throat. My grandma makes the best potato soup in the world! I'll get her to make us a big pot and bring it over to your house. We'll eat up while watching something funny on tv. I'm thinking "Airplane!".

gargle some listerine to kill the germs. It supposedly takes away the pain according to this guy I work with.
