wow..did anybody else catch "jacob" actually in the chair?? there was a man sitting in the chair!! i was like wtf!!!?? and richard..does anybody have any clue how he hasnt aged in 30-40 years!?!?!?!? annie??what happened to her? also in the beginning of the flashbacks did anybody see how bob(the old guy of the others, the one who captured walt originally) was registering people(of course a younger version of him) when they first arrived at the Dharma place? maybe i was wrong but did anybody else notice that?

Yeah, they showed a flash of Jacob - weird since Locke insisted he wasn't there. They'll probably leave us hanging on Annie until next season - the writers love to do that to us. I guess the island has something to do with Richard not aging, although I suspect it's closer to 20 years than 40 that have passed. Ben was about 11 or 12 at the beginning. I really hope Locke doesn't die - I love his character.

I didn't see any flash of Jacob, but now you have my curiosity. I am going to watch it again and look for it. As for Annie, she's got to reappear at some point. Otherwise, they wouldn't have shown so much of her early on. However, why wouldn't she have died with the other Dharma members when they were gassed? I also didn't catch the younger Bob, but then again, why didn't he die in the gassing? I'm usually very good at picking up on small details. I guess that's why I love this show so much. However, I'm disappointed in myself not catching some of this stuff. I guess this later time slot is wearing on me. I need to just record it from now on. I hope Locke doesn't die either. I'm thinking that Jacob is going to save him so that he can save Jacob (however he's supposed to do that). I like some of the supernatural stuff that goes on in the show. It gives more mystery to the island. It keeps you guessing on what's real and what isn't.

they didn't show Jacob in the chair. I had to tivo it a few times but it was a close up of Locke. Why on earth would Ben shoot Locke? I hope they don't kill him off. It's bad enough Mr. Echo and Shannon are gone. If the the Others on;y take the 'good people' then why not Hurley?
Wasn't Annie the woman that Sun shot??

Moe, the others let Locke beat Mikhail up because he just came back with the body of his father like Ben said, and Ben has been hyping up Locke as "a very special guy", so they wouldn't interfere with Locke beating him up.
Dawn-marie, check my link above. It is a screen cap of Jacob in the rocking chair. It LOOKS LIKE Locke, but with hair! I feel this is VERY VERY important...
I think the younger Tom also possibly defected to the Hostiles side (i.e. Hostiles being Ben's new friends, the original natives of the land). I missed seeing younger Tom so I'll have to check the screen caps.

I didn't catch it while watching it last night. But I rewatched it on abc.com today and caught it. I was like HOLY CRAP!!!!!! I'm also curious about Richard! I mean he looks exactly the same!!! I think Annie probably died in the purge or something. And "Bob" is named TOM. (a.k.a Mr. Friendly or Zeke). But I don't know if that was him or not. It could've been.

Annie what happened to her, did she get gassed with the others or is she still around. Ben's dad got what was coming to him.. Why did the others just stand around while Locke, beat the eye patch guy senseless, why didn't they try to stop him. I think they are tired of or scared of Ben.

I just read in another Answers questions somewhere that Terry O'Quinn (actor who plays Locke) just sold his house in Hawaii and made the comment that he'd like the freedom to do other things.
