You heard it, "no one's interests are placed above Americans" .... doesn't the country more and more resemble Nazi Germany?
and you know that is true. Israel is a client state of the US, not the other way around. AIPAC is not defending israeli interests but rather the interests of the US elite. No president will get elected without favoring the elite at the expense of the population. It has been so since Washington and never any different.
and who said anything about Jews... Israel is a country, Judaism a religion. If you have an encyclopedia you should check it out. Countries that praise one religion over another are dangerously close to... well, Nazi Germany.

What "Zionist agenda"?
Is supporting Israel's right to exist and Israelis' rights to live considered the "Zionist agenda"?
Perhaps the tiny brained Muslims need to stop worrying about having to share the planet with Jews and start thinking about making their own countries decent places where there children can grow up in peace and prosperty.
But then, isn't it a foregone conclusion that Islam and "peace and prosperity" aren't compatible?

No, the candidate only need 'say' they support it - like all other promises and pledges made by politicians before the election, it will mean nothing after they win and assume the position.

Unfortunately, probably. They all should go back and read the writings and quotes from George Washington.
It is our true policy to steer clear of permanent alliances with any portion of the foreign world.
George Washington
Over grown military establishments are under any form of government inauspicious to liberty, and are to be regarded as particularly hostile to republican liberty.

Uhh,
So they're supposed to let their country fall into anarchy and kiss Israel?
They're supposed to put a foreign nation's interests before the needs of their people?
Usually, leaders put their nation's interests first on their agenda...
Dealing with the plank in your own eye before the speck in your brother's eye, eh?
Just because a leader puts their people's needs before almighty Israel doesn't mean their some Nazi. Because thats pretty much what you're calling them, eh?
You Israelis sound worse than the Americans. And that is saying something.
"No, take care of ME before you deal with horrible wars, political matters and nation-wide problems! ME ME ME!"
Oh, and if you're not from Israel, sorry.
They don't HAVE to support you.

America is already being destroyed through supporting Israel. There is no way a person will be elected US president if he/she does not support Israel, the country that did not exist before 1948 and came to exist through war.

I'd love to see a candidate run on that platform - just to see the reaction.
Imagine the impact on the world if America actually got a president with that philosphy? We might even stand a chance of peace.

I believe Republicans support Israel SOLEY to garner the support of Evangelical Christians who believe in the Rapture. Most Republicans I know are antisemites in thier private lives but ostensibly support Jewish causes in public because thier political/religious leadership tells them to.

Mag,
I believe that you're getting a bit overwrought about this. Israel is our ally. Lots of US folks go to Israel and vice versa - they are touring, visiting friends and doing business. The Jewish population in the US is large, well-educated, moneyed and active in politics. They will, and should, be listened to.
