Your bathroom ghosts drank the water. If you leave a dog bowl of water for them, they won't have to drink from your bathtub.

mmmmmmm.. maybe, maybe not.. I would fill the tub again and see what happens ..Could be just a faulty drain. If there is a chance the house has spirits.. (has any other things happened or rumors of something going on in that house before you lived there?).. I would set a tape recorder in the bathroom and ask if there is someone there with you you cant see and snap a few pics and see what I get. For that matter why stop with the bathroom do that to the whole house. If you do record you may have to listen to the recording a few times very closely to hear if anyone answers you. Ask simple questions and wait for answers. Such as .. Is there someone here that can speak to me? Do you have something you want to say to me? Do you need some kind of help? Good luck

This would be hard to determine considering there are other real life things that could have happened. Was the plug in tight? Was your boyfriend in a bigger rush to get is coffee to drink and forgot to turn on the water. This really doesn't sound like a Paranormal issue but more of a human error one.
Has anything ever happened before in his place? If not, then I would have him make sure that the plug is in tight and that he in fact turned on the water.

No. Why would it be, when there are any number of reasons this could have happened? He forgot to plug the drain. The drain came loose. There's a leak in the bathtub. Someone else pulled the drain. He didn't put too much in, waited too long, and it evaporated.
Why look for a paranormal explanation when there are so many normal things it could have been?

A person needs to look for the obvious such as not putting the plug on the tub...or does it have a slow leak after the plug is put on. Has any thing else happened that is out of the ordinary. If not then I would say that it is not a paranormal.

This is a good illustration of how readily paranormal beliefs can be accepted, even when far more probable rational explanations are glaringly obvious. The belief in paranormal is a faith much like religion, not being based on evidence but just on the sheer need to believe in "something higher".

Sorry I think this one can be Chalked up to forgetfulness or a faulty plug.
now if the water left the tub and came out his ears then I would be concerned about paranormal activity but until then don't worry

How would this be paranormal?
He probably just forgot to put the stop in. What entity would take the water out?

The imaginary physics applied to the bottom of the water mass, un- corked the relative rubber stopper mass...
In other words..Rubber stopper not seated fully in fixed position...
