Oh, definitely! I actually liked them, 'cause I'm a bit of a ham. My kids did a few in elementary school, but to the best of my knowledge have not done them in middle school.

I had to do 1 hour oral presentations of research papers in middle school.

i never gave oral book reports. my schools always made you give in written book reports and the last time i did that was in 3rd grade.
