What's the best way to get tickets for shows in Vegas? Does it cost less when you get there or to preorder on-line? Any good sites or tips???

If you want tickets to the major productions such as, any of the Cirque Du Soleil shows, Blue Man Group, Celine Dion,Manilow, etc I would buy them as far in advance as possible. >120 days for the Cirque shows<

These are my 2 favorites
Mystere - TI - 1-800-392-1999
I like section 203, but 202 & 204 aren't bad.

"Ka" - MGM Grand - 1-866-774-7117
Section 202 has the best seats for this one.

For many of the less popular shows you can pick up 1/2 price tickets the day of the show.

Or check out the free LV magazines in your room or the hotel gift shop, they will have discount coupons to many of the shows.

The best of the afternoon shows, is Mac King, they often hand out 2-4-1 coupons to this show at the booth located in the Carnival Court next to Harrah's - In the past they have given away 2 free tickets for a new sign up to Harrah's slot club "Total Rewards" >I can't guarantee that one, but it's worth asking if you have never had a Harrah's card.

A couple of other really good shows that are pretty reasonable.
Larry G. Jones - Fitzgeralds - The Man of 1002 Voices - $22-$30, IMHO he's as good as Danny Gans($100)

Dirk Arthur - Tropicana - Xtreme Magic - $29-$34 - But there are often 2-4-1 or discount coupons in the LV magazines to this show.

This is a great site for LV info, including shows.

It's cheaper to order them before. A lot of them will run summer specials where they include food and a drink. All the shows are listed on vegas.com but it is probably cheaper to go directly to the hotel website.

Go to the Hotel's websites. They usually have promotions and if you join their gambling clubs they are even better
