If not what can cause a miscarriage? Does anyone know? I know its not safe but my friend needs this done and she doesn't have the money for an abortion and i'm pretty sure people out there have heard of ways to cause a miscarriage. Like i said I know its not safe and so does she but she's desperate

No it can' but it will cause health issues when or in this case, if the baby is born.
First, there are other options like adoption. I don't agree with abortion, i believe if you are "responsible" enough to have sex, the you should be "responsible" enough to deal with the outcome. And abortion is not the right choice. Sorry.
But the proper way is to go and get an abortion. Afford it or not, she should have thought of that before hopping into bed.

There really is no safe way to do it. And birth control pills WILL NOT cause a miscarriage, it will harm the baby though. If she tries that method, she'll just end up with a baby that has serious health problems.
If she needs money for an abortion, there are many groups out there that will help, like pro-choice. Also, if she has health insurance, she should check her policy, a lot of insurance companies cover an abortion.

Birth control pills do not cause a woman to go into a miscarriage. It prevents ovulation by suppressing the natural hormones in the body that would stimulate the ovary to release an egg. By taking this estrogen throughout the month, you insure that no egg will be developed or released for that cycle. Progestin thickens the cervical mucus, hindering the movement of sperm. There are so many people out there who would LOVE to have children and can not...and then we have selfish people like you and your friend who try doing sick things like this to hurt an innocent baby. The Lord will never give ANYONE too much to handle...with the Lord...ALL things are possible. Anyone who hurts a child of the Lord shall never be called a man of the Lord! YOU ARE SICK for trying to do something like this! WHAT WILL HAPPEN,,,if the baby does not die,,,but instead is born with some kind of disease or is retarded??? YOU just think a child is hard to raise...try raising one that is handicapped!

Not only is it stupid for your friend to try and cause a miscarriage, it's ridiculously dangerous for her to try and do so. I know it sucks, but she got herself into this mess, she's going to have to talk to her parents and tell them what's going on.
birth control pills will not cause a miscarriage, but they will cause birth defects. Not the best way to go.

Oh my god!!! Why didnt she just use the morning after pill? Maybe she should of been on birthcontrol in the first place if she does not want a baby! Sorry i don't know what to say to your answer!

Rh negative. There is no one cause, but the contraceptives didn't help - it was just not meant to be. Plan ahead and take care of the implantation/fetus if you foresee getting pregnant intentionally.

Please whatever you do tell her to not try to do this on her own she can really hurt herself. I understand the situation but she has other options like seeking professional medical attention. Do not ask just anyone about this because what work for one woman can cause serious harm to the next person that tries it.

Sorry for the caps, just didn't want you to miss my post in this sea of "omg, don't kill teh baby" ones.
When I got the pill I was told that it was fine to take them even if I got pregnant. Obviously you stop them as soon as you can, but it's not supposed to harm the baby if you accidentally take them too long. So normal birth control pills won't help. However, I know a website that tells women who can't get an abortion how to do it at home as safely as possible. I'll link it for you.

no,but it may cause harm to the baby. Miscarriages tend to happen with no known cause.
