DNA stores information in the a way that is similar to how computers store digital information.
But no, DNA does not store digital information. Check the definitions of digital to see some reasons why.

Well, by digital he meant that the information is stored in little bits. DNA is made up of nucleotides which have one of 4 different nitrogen bases (Adenine, Thymine, Guanine and Cytosine). The Sequence of these bases in the DNA strand allows the cell to interpret and use the information to build proteins (which are made up of a sequence of amino acids). The proteins basically determine a characteristic of allow the cell to perform a specific function.

It is possible to consider the genetic code as a digital code.
Computers use binary code -- a sequence of 1s and 0s e.g. 10010010.
DNA has 4 alternatives at each position: A, C, T, and G. e.g. AGGTCGATC.
So, you can theoretically use a DNA sequence to store digital information. The whole genome sequence of an organism can be considered a digital description of the organism.
There is a whole new field of science called DNA computing...see Wikipedia

Yes, DNA contains "digital" information in the 4 alpha letters (which were asigned by humans, by the way) just mentioned.
Creationists like to say that proves there's a god or "inteligent designer". But, that's preposterous. All it proves is that DNA is based on a precise coding system. It says nothing whatsoever about how it got that way.

In the nucleotides. Adenine, thymine, cytosine and guanine. A,T, C and G. Like a computer code, 01, only with four symbols. Yes it is digital!!!! It is a string of stored information!!!!!!
