Of course not. This is an issue I'm conservative on, so I'm not teasing when I say that the standard conservative position is to oppose change.

Absolutely YES and here's why. When a person becomes a naturalized USA citizen, they should have all the rights, privileges, duties that a person who just happens, through luck or parentage, to have been born as a citizen.
Once they have gone through the entire process of immigration, studied for naturalization and then appear to be sworn in to take the oath & pledge their allegiance, which is more than any natural born citizen is required to do, then it just seems only fair to thereafter regard them as 100% citizens, not 75%, not 50%. They are, after all, asked to abide in every way by the principles of the Constitution which presently sets them off to one side as less than 100%.
In our history, we could have had one of our most brilliant people as a President but for this requirement and the USA lost an opportunity.
In my experience, the naturalized citizen is every bit as enthusiastic and often better informed about the USA than are many naturally born citizens. Let's not forget that many among them have died protecting the same Constitution which presently treats them as "less" which to me is unfair and should be changed.
As far as I'm concerned, the "why not" reasons that have been advanced are based on unfounded fears or just plain selfishness.

No i probably wouldnt. Tough question tho, i really like arnold and would make an exception in my mind, but there are just too many people out there that would be trying for this for a bad reason. Of course, anyone is capable of treason, but i guess u think u lower the chances by just allowing natural born americans, who knows.

No, I think that there are at least 75,000 people capable of handling the job, significantly less with the connections of the wealthy elite but still enough people to not have to import a leader.
It just struck me... Look at how unloyal many American companies are to the american well being by opting to import labor, shifting headquarters, build nuclear plants 30 years ago for China, etc...
so, anyone can be less than loyal but I'd prefer the president to be an American and we can hope he cares.

No. It may sound paranoid, but doing so would allow other nations to send their citizens into our country and give them the opportunity to seize power here.
We have had citizens in both recent and decades past betray our country and they were born here. Why take an unnecessary risk just because Arnold is a good actor and a good American?

Well maybe for Arnold Schartzeneger. He could get us all "Pumed Up".
Beside, show one of his films where he kills all the bad guys with a gun that never runs out of bullets, that would scare the hell out of the Terrorists!!!!!
We already know what he would do about Illegal Aliens. See the movie "Predator" as a source.
He proved he get in bed with the Democrats, (Wife is a Kennedy in-law).
Think ALGORE wold be worried about Global Warming? Nope, he would be shaking over Arnold Butt Kicking....
When he left the Clinton's house, he could use his famous line "I'll Be Back". That would shut them up, at least for a few minutes.
So, what do you think???

No.
It is not that hard to become a naturalized citizen and would be too easy for someone (with considerable financial backing) to potentially become president for nefarious reasons.

No. I just would not. Someone from another country will have different values and thoughts on government. It is just how it is. There is no other place quite like America, and our leader should be born here and love this country as much as I or any other American does.

No bleeping way! It will never happen so it's not even worth talking about. This question always comes up when some populist foreigner gets as far as he/she can go politically like say..Arnold Schwarzenegger?
