Sorry all - I worded this question poorly - I meant to say "SOCIALIST" institution in America.

I believe the correct answer is public school system but I'm not going to do the research right now.

I'm gonna pick the winner based on my wrongly worded question...

I guessed Social Security, but looked further. It's Medicaid, health insurance for the poor.

I'd guess the Social Security Administration, but I'm not sure if you'd agree it's an 'institution,' and I'm biased against them for all that money they take out of my paycheck.
