There is big money is to be made and the pressure to mine uranium will become overwhelming in the western US in order to feed the world-wide “nuclear renaissance.” Mining will irreversibly poison our water table.

Is the intentional contamination of the public's water supply through uranium mining the act of eco-terrorism predicted by Homeland Security?

Global warming is one thing. Purposely polluting our precious and scarce water supply for money is another.

There are difficult choices to be made in this world. It's not possible to supply the world's energy needs through renewable resources alone. If you want to reduce greenhouse gases (which threaten to flood our coasts within our lifetimes) then you need to find an alternative that exists NOW. If you jump out of the way of a car you may skin your knee in the process.

I believe that global warming is a threat. I'm tired of head-in-the-clouds hippies who want us to reduce greenhouse gases but also don't want to pay any other price to do it. You don't want coal or oil electrical plants, but you also don't want dams, and you also don't want nuclear plants, and you don't even want wind farms because it will hurt the migratory birds. Grow the heck up. You have to make a choice eventually, so choose the lesser evil.

Sure; the rich in this country want to make money. Corporations are interested in short term goals. They have to answer to their stockholders.
